Angelina Jolie is trying to shed 9.5kg in 21 days for a role in her new movie Salt.

In the film, the actress plays a CIA assassin called Evelyn Salt who is forced to disguise herself as a man.

The shooting of the film has started in Washington DC, where she has been seen running through the streets of the city wearing a blonde wig for the role.

“To play a man convincingly Angelina is adamant she needs to lose her curves,” News.com.au quoted a source, as saying.

According to reports, the 33-year-old started her detox three days before last month’’s Oscars and is already battling fatigue.

Jolie’ role was originally intended for Tom Cruise, but the character was rewritten after he dropped out.

Winslets pictures in an advertisement without her consent

UKs political party The Liberal Democrats was left red faced after it used Kate Winslets pictures in an advertisement without her consent.

Party leader Nick Clegg, a pal of the actress director-husband Sam Mendes, was left guarding his pride after a snap of the Oscar winner was made to appear promoting a Lib Dem awards ceremony.

The picture, apparently showing her at the recent Lib Dem Council Awards in Harrogate, was featured in the partys conference brochure.

It allegedly offered the belief that Winslet, who has always sealed her political affiliations, was a Lib Dem supporter.

“They did not request permission to use the image and, so far, Kate has not been made aware of its use. I am not aware of her political position,” the Independent quoted her rep as saying.

Jennifer Lopez: being callled sêx symbol "hilarious"

Jennifer Lopez - who gave birth to twins Max and Emme, her first children with husband Marc Anthony, earlier this year - admits the thought of men finding her sêxually attractive makes her laugh.

The "Wedding Planner" actress said: "I should be so lucky to be called a sêx symbol! Seriously, it's hilarious and I always laugh at those comments. I really don't see myself as one."

Jennifer - who has starred in 24 movies including 'Enough' and 'Shall We Dance' - also revealed her main priorities now are her husband and babies rather than her professional life.
She added: "My priorities are all different now. At one point in my life, I was the main focus and my career was the most important thing, but not now. Marc and the babies are my priority now. "Now my happiness resides in having the choice to reside with my babies and that is absolutely beautiful. I know most mothers would feel and say the same thing but it's just fantastic."
